ALSP now has more than 1,000 members — a tremendous achievement less than a year after launching our initial membership campaign. The litigation support industry, without a doubt, is voicing its support of ALSP’s mission. Visit the ALSP Web site to read the recent press release announcing this accomplishment.
The rapid growth and enthusiasm of ALSP chapters continues to generate excitement at the local level. We now have 14 active ALSP chapters and an additional 16 in developmental stages. Many thanks to our ALSP chapter leaders, whose dedication is the driving force behind our success. To learn more about starting an ALSP Chapter, read Liftoff in Houston — Starting an ALSP Chapter in this issue of ALSP Update. Be sure to check out this month’s ALSP Chapter Update for upcoming meetings and events in your area.
Planning for ALSP’s 2008 Fall Forum is in full swing. Registration is now open so make sure to attend. The planning committee, led by conference chair Michelle Nichols, is working hard to develop a top-notch curriculum that you won’t want to miss. The response to the Call for Presentations was overwhelming — thank you to everyone who submitted an abstract for consideration. The range of topics was diverse and included international e-Discovery, litigation support tips, how to break into the litigation support industry and best practices for streamlining the e-Discovery process. More than 50 submissions arrived to ALSP headquarters; the Fall Forum planning committee is reviewing all submissions and will unveil the exciting program later this month — stay tuned.
The Fall Forum program will deliver several breakout sessions, a high-quality keynote presentation and a panel consisting of top industry vendors who will answer your questions about their role in EDRM. Visit the ALSP Fall Forum Web site for additional information and ongoing updates.
