CHICAGO (25 June 2008) — The Association of Litigation Support Professionals invites practitioners from all sectors of the industry to attend — and submit proposals to share their own expertise at — ALSP’s first international event. Mark your calendar:
ALSP 2008 Fall Forum: Education Through Collaboration
13–14 November
Hyatt Regency McCormick Place
Chicago, Illinois, USA
Visit www.alsponline.org/FallForum for updates and hotel information, and submit presentation proposals at www.alsponline.org/CallforPresentations. Registration opens in July, and the deadline for submissions is 18 July.
“This is yet another step toward achieving ALSP’s mission to establish global professional standards for the litigation support profession through collaboration, education and certification,” says Michelle Nichols, ALSP board member and Fall Forum chair. The forum features two educational tracks, an executive workshop and opportunities to connect one-on-one with colleagues:
- Track 1 on 13 November is designed for junior-level litigation support practitioners and individuals who are moving into litigation support from areas such as law, technology and professional services.
- An interactive executive workshop, set for the afternoon of 13 November, will gather seasoned professionals to discuss emerging challenges and solutions across the industry.
- Track 2 on 14 November is for senior-level professionals, and will delve into trends, complex issues, and creative solutions in the litigation support profession now and for the foreseeable future.
- An open reception the evening of 13 November allows all attendees to connect and exchange ideas.
- Top solution providers also will be on hand to provide information and demonstrations of tools imperative in today’s litigation support arena.
“Another ALSP goal is to provide an environment where the entire litigation support industry can share expertise. I encourage professionals from across the field to respond to the Call for Presentations,” Nichols says. “Don’t be shy when it comes to talking about your experiences. Greatness occurs on a daily basis in this community; let colleagues know how you’ve solved a problem or implemented a unique solution. Submit a presentation proposal about your own work — or about the accomplishments of your team or regional ALSP chapter. We want to hear from you.”
